EGGS 1,14,3 are part of a series of 24 unique copies and take their origin in an everyday, originally playful gesture that was intended as an Easter greeting: photocopying eggs. In this controlled process, an egg breaks on the glass plate and transforms the harmless experiment into a forensic investigation. In addition to the destruction, the product of the copying process has essentially bureaucratically recorded and secured the process.
Three original copies exist and ten further copied editions, which were also produced on a borderless A3 laser copier. The surface is slightly reflective, as is typical for laser copiers.

The archive rooms of the two partner archives in Beirut, UMAM Documentation and Research and AIF, Arab Image Foundation, possess exterior walls that have been reinforced by various, partly improvised measures. These measures can be spotted in many places around Beirut: most cash machines are shielded from the street by a wall reinforced with sandbags; at intersections that are constantly guarded by the Lebanese military, similar shields are used to divert traffic or prevent cars from stopping. The object in the backyard of the partner archive EL-DE-Haus represents one of many different variants used in Beirut to guarantee safety distances.
